let's hear it for the pope

this is creepy.

today i'm hungry. i didn't eat this morning, because my resources are always depleted by my sister. let me explain:

i'm in the habit of waking up for class, with just enough time to wash and dress myself, and eat a bowl of cereal. fast, nutritious (somewhat) and usually tasty. my younger sister, who usually wakes up roughly 6 hours before school, and has plenty of time to actually make a breakfast meal, insists on eating the cereal. then has another bowl when she gets home from school. then another one before bed. before you know it, all we have in the cereal supply are really old cherios that nobody threw away, and shredded wheat that belongs to my father, what with his diet and all. plus shredded wheat sucks. it's so dry and tasteless and i always choke on it.

anyways, the thing that really gets to me is this: instead of throwing away the empty box, abby will put it back with the full boxes of sucky cereal. so i get my hopes up before picking up the box, and rattling the crumbs around.

all that to explain why i am hungry right now.

i work for the next three days, which has me somewhat down in the dumps.
