the story of how i broke stuff,
let's begin with the part where my rage poured out fire and brimstone on my unexpecting cd player. it was toying with me, really, from the get-go. you know...skipping, refusing to acknowledge the cd that was inside of it. i was trying to work on stuff and didn't have the time, nor the energy to deal with it. finially, annoyed, i opened her up and gave her a thorough cleaning. no more than two seconds later, the skipping begins again.
i have been friends with this particular cd player since about 6th grade; we had some great memories together. she was manufactured in a time where anti-shock technology had not been invented yet. knowing this, i tried to give her a jostle or two, making sure that nothing was setting her off balance. after two jostles, i snapped and slammed my fist down. there was a whirring noise and then nothing. now she is broken and i have to use my mother's leviathan boom box to listen to music at my desk. bummer
speaking of bummers, i can't stop having them.
