good. news.
last saturday i attended a comic book convention at the Expo-mart. amidst the strange guys dressed up as Stormtroopers and little kids with weird haircuts, i spied a table set up with an 'artists wanted' sign. i slunk over, introduced myself, put forth a firm-yet-friendly handshake, and showed them my portfolio. i think they liked it. they gave me a sample script, which i am working on now, and like three business cards and promotional stuff. yesterday, they called me from Ohio to tell me that they couldn't stop talking about me and they want me to draw their comic, and they want to publish a story i made a few years ago called Woodboy, and want me to marry their daughters. i turned down the marriage deal, but said yes to the rest! so Woodboy may become an ongoing series. i electro-mailed it to them to show their art editor. color me flattered.
it is a brand-new small company, so i probably won't be making any money, but the important thing is, they are publishing my work. which is pretty sweet. i am excited.
also, i am working on a band with Gregg, Lenny, Jordan, and (possibly?) Mike. this is also turning out to be pretty neat. things are lookin up.
