christmas is sweet, and i got cool stuff.

arrested development season two, killswitch engage and bleeding through dvd's, coldplay, autolux, a spider-man figure, a rubber mouse nose, watership down, the chronicles of narnia, bookends, a triceratops fossil kit, and the obligatory calendar.

then my sisters and i watched The Family Stone. it was "ok".

i'm probably not going back to ccac next semester. i'm going to:

1.) work

2.) finally submit samples to a comic book company and try to get a job.

3.) save money

4.) prepare to go to pitt next fall.

that's my plan and my new years resolution.

holler!

"Goodbye, Cody...."

yesterday lenny, sara, and i had a drawing party. i drew a Tobacco Monster, Lenny as an aging corpse, and a velociraptor who loved apples.

then a gang of us drove out to a frozen lake on a whim, and stranded a boat, a cinderblock, and a few picnic tables in the middle of the lake.

today was my last final, which was a 'musical terms' test, with about fifteen fill-in-the-blank questions. not all that threatening...

my plans for today include: selling some cd's to the Exchange, possibly buying some presents, maybe a nap, and then i don't know. there was talk of heading to the mountains, but i'm not sure if it will happen.

last night i had a dream about every time i die.

"i am a conduit changing colors, frantic humming televisions,
conducting city spasms, shorting voltage like a fuse.
the elevating vibrations of hysteria, amplified by the armor of the tarn.
flashing lights paint veins across the sky.
and everyone along the roadside just wants to see a saint.
the serenity of sirens, the allure of the femme fatale.
her defibrillator hands can't stop me now.
i feel quite alright.
i feel quite alright."

the most awesome dream ever.

last night marks the fifth time i've had the 'flying adventure' dream.

in it, i am able to fly (actually, it's more like gliding) by waving my arms and sort of jumping into the wind. the first time i had this dream, i was in a city with some friends, and i used the ability to fly up to a window on a building and get into the building to let my friends in. more recently, the dreams have occured on some sort of boardwalk at night. there are lots of people there, and i play tricks on them by flying over their heads.

last night's dream occured at the mall, where i was with keith, beth, lenny, and sara. i used my ability to fly up to the second level and get presents for people. then i used the power to make some little kids laugh, by flying up high, and tumbling down to slide across the floor.

i woke up, sore and wishing i could actually wave my arms and glide around.

Snow. Oil. Mary. Monsters.

it snowed this weekend. a lot. i'm happy, partially because i sort of like lots of snow, and partially because everyone else seems to hate it passionately, and i think it's funny.

we went to the movies this weekend. i wanted to see The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. i didn't get to. instead, we watched Syriana, which is mainly about oil, which i do not care about at all. i guess it was an 'alright' movie, depending on how interested you are in the much-hyped 'oil wars' in the middle east, and if you can sit through a painfully slow info-movie. a car blew up in the beginning. a dude got tortured in the middle. a car blew up at the end. lots of pointless talking in-between. i still want to see Narnia.

we hung out with Mary this weekend. Mary is Lenny's mom, and she is really funny, in a not-so-with-it kind of way. she was out on a date, and we watched a Harry Potter movie at Lenny's house. then she came home from the date, and watched the Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire with us, making fun comments and making me laugh a lot. then she fell asleep.

i realized/came to terms with the fact that i'm still afraid of monsters under my bed. maybe not so much afraid, as cautious. it's all because of a movie i saw when i was young. i think it was one of those Ernest movies. in it, a monster under the bed, grabs someone's foot, and begins eating it. this sequence seriously scared me when i was younger, and to this day, when i go to bed, i turn of my light and take a wide step onto my bed, so any monsters under there can't reach my feet.

ridiculous, but necessary.

we'll see if you're still laughing when i have all my toes and yours have all been eaten off.

lost in translation...?

and now, a fortune i pulled out of a cookie at the Super China Buffet:

"Now is the time to make circles with mints, do not haste any longer."

i may not be an enlightened one, but i'm pretty sure this fortune makes absolutely no sense. at all.

feeling....snappy?

i had a dream.

about the pittsburgh museum. more specifically, the display with the lion attacking the dude riding a camel. i used to love that display so much. in my dream i was just staring at that display for like two hours. then i somehow bought a keychain with a picture of Sara LaBuff on it...? now i want to go to the museum really bad. i also want to go to the zoo, still.

we procrasinate a lot.

i drew this in music class:
it's a drawing of Jordan, with this crazy guy from CCAC, named 'Tunda'.

Tunda is part native american, wears 'I Love Jesus' embroidered leather hats, loves dangling earrings, and never stops talking jibberish. he's also been in an explosion. seriously.

in this drawing, he and Jordan are nude.

i love making gross drawings of Jordan. or just playing tricks on him in general. he sits behind me in music class, so i wrote 'YOU SUCK' on my knuckles, and began massaging my shoulders. i thought it was pretty clever. ah, Jordan.....

now to go do nothing.

stop me!

humans get bored sometimes, and i am one, which means i do. so i make things:

i also organized my magazines box, and realized that i have accumulated so many magazines in the past couple of years. if i was a rich man i would buy so many magazines, i would have to have a magazine room, instead of just a box. them's just dreams, though.

lofty dreams.

soon, a regridgerator shall be thrown from high atop a bridge, somewhere. more on this later.

"witch rock, we knew thee well."

we took at night-time trek up to witch rock, only to find it completely in ruins. not just toppled, but completely destroyed. witch rock, the giant rock altar next to it, the stone pathway, the arch, the fence and the broom were utterly unmade. by workers with machines, by the looks of it. or dynomite. i'm disappointed..but veangeful. come springtime, it will be rebuilt...better! hopefully i will get my hands on some concrete for that.

then we drew giant pictures in the snow, of people pooping. 'poop art' we call it. very mature of us.

i'm working enough to generate money for bills, then i'm calling off for a month. i'm really really hoping that our plan to go to canada over winter break actually happens. we need to draw up plans or something......

merder, she wrote (because she couldn't sppell.)

everyone is acting like it's the end of the world. 'oh my god! SNOW!' it's a light dusting, not a blizzard. more of a winter wonderland than, say, icy apocalypse? whatever.

today i woke up to a loud song by a punk band on the radio, i think it was Social Distortion or something. for some reason, it reminded me of hanging out with my sister at the bar she works at, being slightly uncomfortable with the loud group of tossers who, sadly, knew way more than their fair share of the Blink 182 lyrics being blasted through the radio. that line 'work sucks, i know!' was mass-chanted as if it was a Catholic prayer. it made me feel weird...

speaking of work and it sucking, today marks the fifth day in a row i will go into work. tomorrow, being the sixth consecutive day, will be a personal record for me, as i have never in my life worked six days in a row. and for good reason. it's depressing. hey, at least i get that nice fat paycheck!...which will be prompty handed out to CCAC and Erie Insurance Agency. hooray for real life.

last night, beth and i hit up the mall for some pictures (she is making a sort of project). it was good times, and hopefully she will join us for more adventures. now that i hear she is getting a cell phone and will be, for the most part, reachable.

i am really tired, and yet, for some reason, i have been unable to sleep normally. i think something is on my mind or my days are seeming unfulfilled or whatever. i don't know, i just wish i could sleep.

or something.
