"...then, i partied with Pauly Shore!"

two days of the last weekend were spent visiting Lenny at the Hilton hotel in Pittsburgh, which he was staying at during a Christian conference he was attending. apparently, the same Hilton was temporarily housing a one Pauly Shore, one of Hollywood's brightest stars, and a master of the art of film. as i stood in the lobby, i caught sight of him, strolling between Christian teenagers with a friend of his. nobody payed him any attention.

except me.

"Pauly Shore!" i gasped, grabbing Keith's shoulder and running (Keith and i had discussed Pauly Shore just one night beforehand.) we rushed after him, weaving between squealing teenagers and old men. as if by fate, Pauly peered over his shoulder. he looked right at me, into my eyes. i did the 'gun', that move where you make a gun with your fingers, point it at someone and 'click' it, while winking. he accepted the notion, and nodded at me. then he looked at Keith, and was immediately whisked through the double glass doors.

then we made up all sorts of scenarios in which we hung out with and partied with Pauly Shore.

also, i just found out that my pap is probably going to die in an hour or two, which kind of sucks.

'the minotaur and the dodo', a dramatic series by david watt

last night, as i rolled in bed, half-asleep already, i had an idea for a short story about a Minotaur and a Dodo bird. now i forget everything about it aside from the two main characters: a Minotaur and a Dodo bird.

i (finally) finished Watership Down. it was a great book. so good, in fact, that part of me wishes i hadn't finished it because i miss spending my late nights at the warren. nevermind.

next up is some old musty book i bought at the mall junk sale. it smells very old.

work is draining my life.

i started a tattoo fund.

i'm calling Art Institute this week and setting up an interview. real college, here i come!(maybe.)

this week has been out-of-the-ordinary:

eat 'n' park murrysville is better than eat 'n' park monroeville. that's that.

my (sort of) terrible nightmare.

last night, i dreamt that i was babysitting some kids. not children that i actually know, but random, faceless kids that materialized in my unconscious head. why i was babysitting them, i have not a clue, but i was, and it somehow appealed to me that it was a great idea to take these kids to Jurassic Park. i thought it would be fun for them, and i am also quite fond of dinosaurs myself, so off to Jurassic Park we went.

as most dreams go, we appeared there in about three seconds. after walking around the park, which somehow resembled more of a law office than a park, we headed into the main lobby to see the Tyrannusaurus Rex. the main lobby looked like a main lobby for a movie theatre, complete with arcade games and a jazzy carpet on the floor. suddenly, people were screaming. there was a frenzy for the doors, which were smashed by the T. Rex. he had gotten loose!

i watched with horror as he ate people left and right. i wondered where the children were. then T. Rex leaned down, opened his jaws and bit me in half.

apparently, after eating a large number of the park's patrons, he was not so hungry, so he didn't consume me. instead, he left me, broken on the floor. i reached down and could feel my vertebrae.

i layed there, and i could sense that my spine was tingling. it was healing. it felt kind of weird, like when your leg falls asleep and it has that 'pins-and-needles' feeling.

soon i could walk. so i left.

Michael Landon with Squid

i guess i'm sort of in a rut. i cannot stop thinking about people and being with somebody, and going on dates, and what are my chances, or do i even have a chance? this is something i will not readily admit to, and something that i pretend not to care about, but recently, i've been thinking about it constantly. unfortunately, i am also quite bad at the 'dating' thing in general, for 4 main reasons:

1.) i am too shy.

2.) i am afraid to take chances.

3.) i feel that i cannot express myself when i need to.

4.) i am unable to go beyond a freindship for fear of screwing it up/ being awkward.

on average, i don't care, in fact, i don't even think about it, but lately it's really got my goat.

in other news, the steelers won the superbowl. normally i don't care, but last night it caused rioting in the streets of Pittsburgh, which is awesome! i wish i was down there, just so i could help flip a car or something.

also, i want to go back to Point Pleasant, WV. we travelled there last summer to find the Mothman. we investigated old, fenced-in cement factories, monster-filled woodlands, creepy bogs, abandoned streets, sinister Mothman merchandise desks, and a diner that was pure evil, despite it's delicious grilled cheese sandwiches and cheese steaks.

i want to go back.
