Great Recitations.

upon watching Nosferatu, i yearn to make a creepy horror movie. hopefully it will happen, unlike that handful of half-movies that we've made. we have yet to finish the 'Paul' movie, about a weird dude that is too touchy-feely and friendly, and his surprising romance. sounds nice, doensn't it?

also, last summer, we worked on a creepy documentary called 'The Ganterville Lion', about a beast that stalked a small town and ate people's kids. it was pretty sweet, but we never totally finished it.

someday, we'll finish the projects we've started, and make a dvd of our movies. then we'll have watching parties.

last weekend, i found a book at the mall junk sale. it was called Great Recitations, and was full of prose and poems that were to be read aloud. the cover showed a picture of a captivating dude, reading the poems on one knee. i read a few excerpts, but did not have enough money to buy the book. i am filled with regret over this.

tonite i will watch Mae play music. thursday is Groundhog's day. i am almost finished with 'Watership down'. this promises to be a good week.

dude:

i'm totally so smart.

Nosferatu rules the movie world for me. he was very scary in the movie that is named after him. it makes me want to make a silent movie, with crappy stop-motion camera tricks. they are used to a great effect.

life is funny sometimes. actually it's funny all the time, i just don't always feel like laughing.

tons of cd's i want.

total. buzzkill...!

i hate being Debbie Downer, but i am sick of hearing people going out of their minds that our football team is going to the superbowl. who gives two craps about a game?

(cue 'wah wah wahhh')
i hate you, NFL.

a loving spoonful of treasure.

we are building a studio in mike's garage. and by 'we', i mean 'jeremy, keith, and jordan, while i stand there, watching and heckling.'

yesterday i worked...then i shaved all my hair off. i still don't know why i did it, but i kind of like it. i think i was going for a natalie portman type thing, which is sort of embarassing to admit, because she is a girl and i am not.

then we went to arby's and i used the stack of coupons in my coat pocket.

tomorrow i am going to my sister's house so we can watch season two of Arrested Development. i promised her that i would not watch any of it until she came back from Colorado. i ended up watching the whole thing. ooops

groundhog's day is soon, which i am looking foward to.

my favorite picture.

a scratchy throat...

my throat has been scratchy for two days...

fortunately, there is a cure:

a few drops of extremely potent Australian tea tree oil, which is to be gargled in the back of the throat. once germs get a taste of this foul remedy, they head for the proverbial hills. just be sure not to swallow it. trust me on this.

today i feel detached, in a way. unimportant, maybe? i've been thinking too much, i suppose...

probably because i accidentally swallowed some of the tea tree oil when i was gargling it.

Cameo's say 'Everything Will Be Alright.'

last night, we travelled to greensburg, mecca-style, to find Cameo cookies in the local Foodland. they remind me of good times and all that is right in the world.

Earth is a Full House.

next up: a comprehensive essay on 'Full House' being a metaphor for U.S. foreign policy in the early 90's, and how it affects you, each and every episode:

Danny Tanner = the United States of America. he's a fun-lovin', smiley, cheesy single dad, who doesn't mind being kind of serious when someone steps out of line. then a hug fixes everything.

Uncle Jesse = the United Kingdom. he's cool, collected, and loves music and bad hair. also, he teams up with Danny Tanner, and they have each other's backs.

Uncle Joey = Canada. he likes hockey. his jokes suck. how could Uncle Joey not be Canada?

DJ Tanner = Mexico. somewhat exotic(?) and dependant on Danny Tanner for support. who am i kidding, i got nothing on this one.

Stephanie Tanner = France. she is mildly rude and offensive to everyone else, and i suspect everyone just pretends to love her. hey, just like France!

Little Michelle Tanner = China. she may be small, but when she grows up, she will be a major power and own everyone in the world.

it all makes sense. trust me.
and now you all know what i contemplate when i'm at work....

mom, i love the road!

this is funny to me, for some reason.

last night i felt like a damn fool, but today i feel pretty good. meanwhile, outside is looking and feeling like spring, not January. mother nature, you are a mysterious mistress...

i'm mentally debating whether or not to start a dream log in the sketchbook i got for christmas. but i like my dreams, and i half suspect that if i decide to start jotting them down, that they will discontinue. that simply will not do. life is full of really tough choices like these.

this computer just asked me if a woman named Ciara is engaged to Kanye West, Bow Wow, or Omarion. i don't know who it is, so i closed the window. you'd think a computer would know such trivia, what with being constantly connected to the internet and all. sheesh

let the children's laughter remind us of how we once were.

that phrase may very well be the clincher statement in the much-hyped speech i must give at my friend, Matt's wedding this summer. actually, i'm planning on the ending statement being something of,"i don't see it as losing a best friend, i see it as gaining another one." the bulk of my speech will be in poem form, equal parts of hilarious jokes and tear-jerking endearment. that'll get 'em....

last night, lenny bought a red glowing lightsaber to match his blue one, and we battled. for like two hours. lenny sure loves star wars.

meanwhile, i just like sword fighting.

...and reading.

Regret is for suckers. I suck.

today is tuesday, and the second day of classes for all those who decided to return to classes. i, for one, have not, and now i feel like crap. already?!

tonite, like last night, shall be spent possibly hanging out with people, then listening to music in my room while i make as many booklets as i can (i am beginning a project to make free Form of Cat tapes and to leave them in cd stores and whatnot, you know, for fun.) then reading and watching WQED in bed.

r.i.p. the Watt's deck of Uno cards, tragically lost forever in the darkness of our basement.
