things are cool.

today i scanned things.

yeah, i have gripes with my job.

not regular gripes, such as "it's too hard", or "my hours suck", or "it's illegal". my gripes are with my co-workers.

and every time i think that it sucks working with all these weirdo's and jerks...i think about the two days i worked at Number One Cochran. and i heave a big sigh and smile.

today i have no plans. life is good.

Werewolves in Lancaster.

i made a small x-files story for my Book of Short Stories. it's about Mulder and Scully investigating a werewolf sighting in Lancaster. i'm not one to brag, but i believe i nailed the dialogue, dead-on...on the other hand, none of my drawings of Mulder and Scully actually looks anything like the real Mulder and Scully. you win some and lose some, i guess.

next up: i have no idea.

tonite is foreign film night in Oakland. the last one was Babi Ieto (Autumn Spring) and it was about this old man who refused to live like an old man, that is, he played jokes on people and was a generally all-around rascal. it was great.

i have no clue what the movie will be tonite, but i rather like going to see them with no preconception of what they are about. it's more adventurous that way.

all i ate today was orange juice. i'm hungry

nice weather, monster mash, and Every Time I Die.

the past few days have been splendid, simply splendid.

i was pleasantly surprised to not be cold, which is something i have been well accustomed to. i forgot how nice it is when it's raining and not making me wish i was dead. how nice! also, sara and i rooted through the old toys i have stored in my basement, many of which i forgot i even had...how i missed my beloved toys. especially silver spider-man, nude wolverine, and chomping red guy.

then, we had a friendly(sort of...) game of monster mash, an old Watt household favorite.

the next day, jordan and i decided to drive to Lancaster to see Every Time I Die. i estimated a short trip...one that would seem to fly by in mere moments, but much to my chagrin, i was way off. the trip was long. 3 and 1/2 hours. fortunately, jordan and i are good at making a fun time out of nothing. so, we did.

in any case, we made it, and it was the best show of my life.

now my head hurts. them's the breaks.

life? peachy!

i'm having a good time being me.

however,

i've hit a roadblock. i want to submit drawings to a magazine. i can't draw anything worthwhile. i stay up every night until 3. i'm stuck.

in the meantime, i'm having fun.

R.I.P, Pap.

my pap died on monday.

he was a really cool guy, and i am going to miss him. he liked to play cards, watch racing, cuss, and hang out with us. he was a tough guy, like a cowboy...it was great to try and get him to be silly. he'd always grumble 'ah, christ!' when we played tricks on him. he always asked me if i had to keep the all girls away from me by hitting them with a stick, and i never knew how to respond...

today was the viewing, which was a little rough. but tomorrow is the funeral and i suck at funerals. i feel weird crying in front of people. i'm okay, though...

my dad is taking it very hard, though, which is strange to me. i mean, i certainly understand, because it was his father, but i have never seen my dad cry in my entire life.

i miss pap
